Introduction
Our client was Investcorp, a prominent international manager of alternative investments featuring six business areas, such as: private equity, real estate, absolute return investments, infrastructure, credit management, and strategic capital.
Project Objectives
Investcorp seeks to launch a brand new service to attract younger individuals (Millennial and Gen Z Generations) to start investing and take charge of their financial future, without feeling daunted by the numerous options and dangers of misallocating their funds.
Research
User Interviews
Interviews were conducted with 6 users with two sets of questions, one set for Investors and another for Non-Investors.
The following were the findings:Users were found to:Want to learn more about investing.Be cautious about potential risks and losses.Prefer safer options for investments.Have limited amount of time to manage investments.Care and want to support different causes by investing.
Personas
Our study identified two distinct personas that captured both Gen Z and Millennials, including investors and non-investors, as our target audience. Meet Nadia and Waleed.

The Problem
Users belonging to the Millennial and Gen-Z Generations need to be well-informed about investing and encouraged to seize investment opportunities because they lack sufficient knowledge about the domain and feel overwhelmed by the options to make sound financial decisions.
The Solution
We believe that by creating a user-centric platform that offers educational and informative material to help users learn about investing, we will attract more clients in this segment who will trust the Investcorp Wealth Mobile App to make sound financial decisions and confidently take control of their financial future.
We will consider ourselves successful when we see an increase in the number of Mobile App downloads and interactions, an increase in the number of Millennial and Gen-Z clients, and an increase in the number of investors.
User Flows
Following the research analysis, two possible user flows were identified, catering to the specific needs of each persona.
Nadia's flow would involve resuming an in-progress course, demonstrating the app's capacity to pause and restart courses, as well as showcasing the variety of courses available.
Waleed's flow focused on capitalizing on an investment opportunity, highlighting the app's investment process and providing comprehensive information on the supported causes.
Prototype: Investcorp App
Our latest app development features in-depth information on investments, as well as a brand-new educational section tailored for users like our personas to explore investment knowledge, bolster confidence in their investing choices, and take investment opportunities all within the app itself.
Usability & A/B Test Findings
Our high-fidelity prototype underwent testing with numerous users, resulting in a 100% success rate for task completion across both flows. Multiple iterations were created based on testers' feedback. Additionally, we examined two variations of the learning experience, influenced by apps in our comparative analysis, to determine the most appealing functionality for users. Through A/B testing, we gained insightful data, revealing a significant 80% of participants preferred Version B's functionality. Consequently, we've integrated these popular features into the finalized design, ensuring that our app caters to the preferences of the majority of our target users.
